Introduction
If you would like to know a tiny bit about me, read on. Otherwise, skip this paragraph. I'm not keen on revealing much about myself, but I will tell you this much: I'm a human male between the ages of 20 and 40. I live on the planet Earth. I've been playing Palladium games since 1992, when I began my own collection. Since that time, I've run or played in nearly every Palladium setting. I post on the Palladium Books® Forums of the Megaverse® (and a select few other boards) as "1010101". This is one of three websites I have under the "1010101" guise. The others are an EQrpg-related one (located here) and a Star Wars one (located here). My email address is ryoung@adelphia.net and I don't appreciate spam mail.
How the Site Works
The book information is divided into categories based on Palladium's catalog numbering system. Not only is this a logical breakdown, but it's also been used on the only other good Palladium book reference site I've ever seen: Stan Bundy's Palladium Fan FAQ. Each distinct number series of books will have its own page, but a few products don't fit into the numbering scheme where they should, and so are located where they should be (RiftsworkZ, specifically). You'll notice that there are two different "400 Series" pages (Mechanoids and Weapons Compendiums). The reason for this is because Palladium reissued the "400" numbers after the Mechanoids series went out-of-print. There is also a Palladium-Related category with non-Palladium but related items. Lastly, you'll find a Master List, which is basically just a long list of book names that are hyperlinked to their series-specific entries. Items inside each category are arranged in order of their Palladium catalog number, with a very few exceptions (notably the Mechanoids page).
Each book entry will follow the same pattern. I'm not going to take the time to explain the layout here simply because it should be pretty obvious. I will say that information that is marked with a "?" is information I've not been able to confirm. Oh, and in case you didn't know what it meant, "OOP" means Out-Of-Print.
The cover scans on the site initially are coming from my own book collection, the Palladium Books® Online Catalog, and various eBay auctions that have appeared over the years. Since I'll be accepting submissions for missing items, you'll eventually see items with scans provided by other sources. I'll try to slowly eliminate the auction and Palladium Books® Online Catalog scans, if for no other reason than they tend to be of a quality I'm not satisfied with, but time constraints prevent me from scanning my entire collection in one sitting. At any rate, all sources will be credited.
The book information will initially come from three sources. Firstly, my own collection will be used. Beyond that, the Palladium Books® Online Catalog and
Stan Bundy's Palladium Fan FAQ will be used. Later, other sources will be used (and credited). I probably won't credit information from Palladium's website, but then again, I won't be getting much of the information from there anyway, since the kind of information I'm looking for isn't available there.
