There are many examples of the use of Liberator's battle computers and tolist too many would be repetitive. So I picked out some that seem to coverit all:
BLAKE: Zen, retaliation status report. ZEN: Detectors confirm massive launch of long range interceptor rockets. They have locked on to Liberator's course and are in pursuit. BLAKE: How long before we outrun them? ZEN: Battle computers estimate seven hours to outrange interceptor tracking systems. BLAKE: Maintain optimum evasive strategy. [He exits the flight deck, the next line coming as he walks=20 away down the corridor.] ZEN: Battle computers confirm, optimum evasion strategy committed.
BLAKE: ... Zen, I want a series of projections from the battle=20 computers. Nearest Federation bases, likely flight patterns,=20 flight times, and possiblity of interception. ZEN: Confirmed.
CALLY: ... Zen, put the battle computers on line. [Zen's lights come on] Put up the force wall, activate the radiation flare shield, and clear the neutron blasters for firing. ZEN: Completed. Neutron blasters are cleared for firing.
ZEN: Detectors report high speed approach. CALLY: Scan. ZEN: Gun ship. It is manoeuvering for attack position. CALLY: Warn them off. ZEN: Warning ignored. CALLY: Compute coordinates, range blasters. ZEN: Blasters ranged. CALLY: Warn them again. ZEN: Warning ignored. They are pressing their attack. CALLY: I gave them a chance. [Fires. Ship explodes]
BLAKE: Zen, position of those three ships on the main screen. ZEN: Four hundred spacials, closing at Time Distort Six, line astern.BLAKE: Line astern? That's new. AVON: A bright attack commander, lining up to hit us in exactly the same spot.BLAKE: Zen, can we withstand a plasma bolt attack from those three ships? ZEN: If they hit the same spot they could possibly destroy the Liberator. Battle computers advise against allowing them to do so.
ZEN: Enemy strategy is now confirmed. Battle computers indicate full alien counterattack is underway.
AVON: Put them on main screen. ZEN: Confirmed. AVON: Speed of approach. ZEN: Time distort eight. AVON: How long before they reach their attack range? ZEN: Two minutes. AVON: Put up the radiation flare shields. Clear the main blasters for firing. ZEN: Main blasters are cleared for firing. AVON: Battle and navigation computers on line. ZEN: Confirmed. AVON: Compute an initial evasion course to take the flank ship in delta seven out of line and into strike range. ZEN: Grid one zero four, standard by six. AVON: Execute. Stand by the force wall. ZEN: Confirmed.
AVON: Are they maintaining formation? ZEN: Affirmative. AVON: When will they be in range? ZEN: They have been in range for one minute, eight seconds. AVON: Then why aren't they firing? ZEN: Plasma bolt launched and running. AVON: Should have kept my mouth shut. How many bolts? ZEN: One only, running true. Five seconds to strike. AVON: Activate the force wall. [Bolt strikes the Liberator.] Are they all in range? ZEN: All hostiles are in range. AVON: Then why aren't they all firing? ZEN: Battle computers can offer no explanation.
The battle computers' capabilities include:
