Sick Day
"Hey you two, whats up?" Candice walked into her best friends kitchen and looked around. Amanda was making dinner and Tracy was sitting at the table with her head in her arms. "How are you holding up with Aunt Renee gone?"
"Great, I can't believe Mom let us stay by ourselves while she and Dad went on that trip!" Amanda was putting some leftover pizza in the microwave.
"Is that what you two have been living on?"
"No, I actually can cook while Tracy's been living off of tuna fish and peanut butter. It was her turn to cook yesterday, but she wasn't feeling well so we ordered pizza. Want some?"
"Of course." Candice walked over to where Tracy was still sitting. "I think she fell asleep." Candice walked over to where Tracy was still sitting. "Candice put her hand on Tracy's forehead. "Whoa! She's got a fever!"
"Really? Hmmmm, I guess she can't go to school tomorrow then. Hopefully she won't be too upset about missing her chemistry test."
"How are you going to make sure she stays home?"
"Oh, I have my ways. Come on, help me get her to bed."

Tracy woke up the next morning feeling awful. She looked over at her alarm clock and saw the time. "Oh shit! I overslept!" She got out of bed, got dressed and ran downstairs. She was greeted by Sage.
"Hello darling, and how are you doing this fine morning?"
"What are you doing here?! Amanda! What's going on?" Tracy ran into the kitchen and saw her sister talking with Tred, Cye, and Rowen.
"Oh, Tred was nice enough to teleport the guys over here."
"But why do they need to be here when we're going to be at school? I do not want them snooping through my stuff." She cast a pointed glare in Sage's general direction.
"You're not going to school, you're sick. Since I don't trust you to stay home alone, the guys are here to take care of you." Amanda turned to Cye. "Make sure she gets enough rest and doesn't leave the house. Oh, and Rowen, don't let Sage bother her too much. I gotta go to math today so I won't be home 'till six. See ya!"
"No! Wait! Don't leave me!" Tracy tried to run to the door but Sage put his arm around her and stopped her.
"Don't worry, we'll take care of you." Sage smiled at her and Tracy just scowled.
"Get away from me." Tracy stormed back to her room. Sage was following her. She sat down on her bed and noticed Rowen was standing in front of her bookshelf. "What are you doing?"
"I can't believe you own MacBeth and A Tale of Two Cities! Oh my god, is this Walden?!"
"Yes it is Rowen, now could you please get out of my room?" Rowen started walking, but instead of heading out the door, he sat in her chair instead.
"Hey, these things are pretty good!" Tracy looked at Sage, who was sitting on the floor with a big pile of Pixy Stix in front of him.
"My Pixy Stix stash! Get away!" Tracy tried to take them away from Sage, but to no avail.
Rowen looked up from his book. "Pixy Stix?" His book lay forgotten as he went towards the candy.

A few hours later Cye was beginning to worry about the others. It was just too quiet. Then he heard giggles coming from the family room.
"Look! At the very end of the song, if you look closely, you can see Trunks!"
"Wow, so thats Trunks. I didn't realize he was a cartoon! Did you see him, Rowen?"
"Tee hee! Fair is foul and foul is fair! Quoth the Raven, nevermore! Hee hee!"
"What is going on here?!" Cye walked in the room and saw Tracy and Sage sitting on the couch and watching Dragon Ball Z. Rowen was on the floor reading a book and was surrounded by dozens more. All throughout the room Pixy Stix wrappers were scattered."
"Hee hee! Hey, Cye! Want some sugar?" Rowen burst into a fit of giggles and fell back onto the floor.
"No! Look at this place, its a mess! Sage, you were supposed to be watching them!"
"Shhhhh! He is talking!"
"Who's he?...Oh, never mind. You three are hopeless! Now I have to clean up after you too!" Cye's face was getting redder by the minute as he noticed that he was being totally ignored. "LISTEN TO ME!!!"
Tracy turned towards Cye. "Jeez, if you're gonna interrupt Trunks you could at least be nice about it."
"Yeah! Show some respect!"
"Shut up Sage." Amazing, the only time Tracy and Sage got along was when they were on a sugar high. "Could you guys at least..."
He was interrupted as Tred walked in. "Hey Cye, how're you holding up? Oh, never mind. Wow, thats a lot of Pixy Stix wrappers."
"OK! THATS IT! TRED GO HOME, TRACY GO TO YOUR ROOM AND YOU TWO GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!!!!!!" When they didn't move Cye held up his spatula. "NOW!" Tred ran back outside and Tracy, Rowen, and Sage went back to her room. Just then Amanda came home.
"Hi Cye! How was it?" When all she got was the look of death from Cye she backed away. "Ok, I'm going to go ask Tred to take you home now." She slowly backed out of the room and ran to Treds apartment.
