BACH TO THE FUTURE!
Hey! Big news on the Guardian front guys...Lead singer Jamie Rowe just announced on the Guardian Message Board on AOL that Guardian bass player and founder David Bach is now the Vice President of A & R at Forefront Records. It sounds like he'll still be part of the Guardian recording process (I hope), but probably won't return to the road after some time off with his family like was originally planned. Pray for David in this new venture and for the rest of the guys in Guardian as the get used to these changes! -Posted 10/7/97

LETS HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS (AND GIRLS)!
The BBC Network recently made a trip to Nashville where they recorded interviews with Steven Curtis Chapman, Out Of The Grey, Newsboys, Susan Ashton and Kim Hill for a music documentary hosted by singer Deniece Williams. -Posted 10/4/97

UNDER THE BIG TENT!
Be sure to catch the "Open All Night" Tour featuring Big Tent Revival, The Waiting and Reality Check as it makes its way across the country this fall. Check out the web site at www.openallnight.com for tour updates. Congrats to Reality check-their video "Masquerade" reached number one on Z Music Television's Top Ten Countdown. And be sure to listen for the new singles from The Waiting ("My Pride") and Reality Check ("Know You Better") on the radio this fall. -Posted 10/4/97

OUR AWESOME GOD WELCOMES RICH HOME!
Rich Mullins, 41, writer of such beautiful songs as Sing Your Praise To The Lord, Step By Step and Awesome God went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 19th. He was involved in a fatal automobile accident on the way to a concert. Please pray comfort for his family and friends in this time of earthly loss. He will be missed. -Posted 9/23/97

"REVENGE IS MINE" SAYETH...MINDY?
It's cutting-edge...stylish...savvy...sophisticated...fashionable! It slices: it dices: it juliennes fries! Mindy's Revenge is a collection of 20 killer tunes from today's hottest unsigned Christian bands. And YOU can decide who's next to be signed in a promotion where you vote for your fave! It's due out September 2nd for only $9.99! -Posted 8/31/97

DON'T BE "LEFT BEHIND!"
For those fans of the Left Behind book series, the wait is over. The third of six in the series, Nicolae: the Rise Of The Antichrist, will appear in September carrying on the end times storyline of the bestselling Left Behind and Tribulation Force. -Posted 8/31/97

GOIN' TO THE CHAPEL!
Congratulations to Brad Olsen, the lead singer of The waiting, who married Shannon Shirley in St. Petersburg, Florida on July 26th. And speaking of The Waiting...their third single, "How Do You Do That?" reached number one on the CHR charts. Also married recently was Duncan Phillips of The Newsboys, who honeymooned in Maui with new bride Breeon. -Posted 8/31/97

JOSHUA'S LOOKING A BIT GREEN!
October is the month for an all new Veggie Tales. The newest release will be entitled Joshua And The Battle Of Jericho, and will, of course, feature your favorite vegetables in one of the greatest bible tales ever! Don't Miss It! -Posted 8/23/97

NOUVEAUX IS "NEW" NO MORE!
Benson recording artist Nouveaux has officially split up. We don't have all the details yet, but it sounds like bandmembers just wanted to go their own ways creatively. Rumor has it that you can expect solo projects from a couple of the members in the near future, but who that would be isn't known. One can expect, though, that vocalist Paul Alan will be one of them. Their last album, ...And This Is How I Feel, did very well on the charts with songs such as "Maybe Tomorrow" and "Thru Heaven's Fields." -Posted 8/23/97

ALL EYES ARE ON MISS ANGIE!
Myrrh artist Miss Angie is just about to release her debut album, 100 Million Eyeballs, which is a unique style of music which blends Christ-centered lyrics with big guitar sounds and aggressive rhythms. It's upbeat melodic pop/rock that's current, creative and entertaining and that could be the winning combination. Watch for it! -Posted 8/23/97

MUCH AFRAID? IT WILL BE...IT WILL BE!
Jars Of Clay's much-anticipated new release, Much Afraid, will find its way to record stores everywhere on September 16th. The leadoff single, "Crazy Times," should already be on the airwaves with more to come! Though it doesn't have a strong "Flood"-like single, this album is a more cohesive and guitar-oriented disc. It should not disappoint any of their fans. There...now you know! -Posted 8/23/97

MASTEDON WILL ROCK AGAIN...SORT OF!
Ron talked to John Elefante at the Spirit Song Festival in Cincinnati in July about the rumored upcoming new Mastedon album and it looks like, because of time limitations, that that won't be happening. But don't lose hope! Their current plans are to release a two-disc set of the first pair of albums along with a couple new tunes. That's great news for the fans who love it when John rocks!! -Posted 8/16/97

WHITEHEART RETURNS!
Proving more rumors untrue, Whiteheart has wrapped in the studio with their latest project, Redemption (to be released in September/October on the Curb label). The album features newcomers Barry Graul on guitar, Mike Mead on drums and Mark Hill on bass in addition to returning Billy Smiley, Mark Gersmehl and Rik Florian. Sources say that Rik's vocals will be more subdued on this release. I don't know exactly what that means, but, hey, it's Whiteheart, how can it be bad??!! -Posted 8/16/97

PETRA TO ROCK HARD IN ORLANDO!
On September 9th, Petra (who are in the midst of celebrating their 25th anniversary) will be the center of attention at the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, FL for a memorabilia induction and gold record presentation. Yep! Those "heavyweights" in Christian Rock will be proving they are worth their "weight in Gold." Like we didn't know that already! -Posted 8/16/97

AHH...LIFE IS GOOD!
Our very own comic strip Life As We Know It has been chosen by Gofishnet.com as their their site's "O-FISH-al Comic Strip." They've even given it its own page...check it out! Thanks to Scott and Mike for their hard work at giving the strip such a top honor! -Posted 8/16/97

STRANGERS NO MORE!
Fans of Sweet Comfort Band (Who?), Allies (What?) and Legend Seven (Where?), watch out...here come Identical Strangers! Randy Thomas, guitarist extraordinaire of SCB and Allies has teamed up with most-excellent vocalist Andy Denton of Legend Seven. This hard-rockin' new duo's debut release is in Christian Bookstores now or hear it and buy it on the Web at www.identicalstrangers.com. -Posted 8/16/97

PFR'S LAST HURRAH!
October 7th is the release date for "The Late, Great PFR," a 16-song greatest hits package for the much-missed band. It features 3 new cuts amidst all the classics. Speaking of PFR...Be on the lookout for Patrick Andrew's new band Eager coming soon! -Posted 8/16/97

IT'S A CONSPIRACY!
It's actually Conspiracy #5, the much-anticipated sophomore release from Third Day. This one's destined to leave the tremendous success of their debut disc in the proverbial dust. This album rocks hard and should end all the Hootie comparisons for good, according to vocalist Mac Powell. You can get a taste of it on the new CD-single of "Alien", available now! -Posted 8/16/97
